§ 154-1471. Riding generally.

  • (a)

    No driver of a two- or three-wheel motorcycle or motor-driven cycle shall carry any other person on, upon or within such vehicle on any street or highway in the city, except as hereinafter provided. If any two- or three-wheeled motor vehicle is equipped with:

    (1)

    A dual seat designed for two persons or a separate seat for a passenger and double foot rests; or

    (2)

    A side car attachment providing a separate seat space within such sidecar attachment for each person riding therein so that such person shall be seated entirely within the body of such sidecar, then it shall be permissible for an operator who has attained the age or ages required by state law to carry a passenger.

    (b)

    A demonstration ride by a licensed dealer or his employee is excepted from the provisions hereof.
