§ 154-1085. Single/double-space parking meter, multispace pay station or OPS operation.

(a)

Each single/double-space parking meter or multispace pay station shall be so set as to display a signal to indicate the parking time allowed upon the payment for use of the space by depositing the specified amount of legal tender of the United States or by using a credit card, debit card, smart card or token; as acceptable to the particular regulating device, in such single/double-space parking meter or multispace pay station, as the case may be, for the part of the street upon which the single/double-space parking meter or multispace pay station is placed.

(b)

Each single/double-space parking meter or multispace pay station shall be so arranged that upon the expiration of such parking limit, it will indicate at what time the lawful parking period expires.

(c)

The OPS shall indicate to the customer by voice, text message, email, web or other online means the parking time allowed for the selected location upon payment for use of the space. Payment for OPS transactions shall be made by credit card, debit card, prepaid account or other electronic payment mechanism.

(d)

The OPS shall provide data for enforcement in real time, via wired or wireless networks, such that parking operations staff may identify separately those locations that are currently paid by OPS means and those that are not.
