§ 154-1084. Installation of single/double parking meters, multispace pay stations, or OPS.

Single/double-space parking meters shall be placed upon the curb, sidewalk or neutral ground alongside of or next to individual parking places to be determined and designated by the director of the department of public works. Each single/double parking meter shall so set as to show or display a signal that the metered space alongside of it is or is not in use.

Multispace pay stations shall be installed upon the curb or adjacent sidewalk in city blocks where metered spaces are to be regulated, in such specific locations as determined and designated by the director of the department of public works.

OPS shall have installations that vary with service type. For pay-by-phone parking, signage shall be installed at two locations within each half block, in a manner and of sufficient size such that the pay-by-phone access phone number, SMS short code and/or payment URL and unique location number are visible and readable by drivers from any vantage point within the half block. Additionally, where multispace or single/double-space parking meters are present, decals denoting the pay-by-phone phone number, SMS short code and/or payment URL and unique location number shall be installed on both street and sidewalk facing sides.
