§ 154-1035. Parking prohibited on certain sidewalks in the central business district.

  • No person shall stop, stand or park a vehicle or other conveyance, except when necessary to avoid conflict with other traffic or in compliance with the law or directions of a police officer or traffic control device, on a sidewalk in that portion of the central business district bounded by the Mississippi River, the downriver side of Canal Street, the lake side of South Claiborne Avenue and the upriver side of Howard Avenue. The provisions of this section shall not apply to parking, stopping, or standing on sidewalks in those areas within these boundaries which are signed as "Loading Zones—Sidewalk Only."
