§ 154-981. Stopping or parking prohibited in Audubon Park, City Park and in Brechtel Memorial Park.

  • No person shall stop or park a vehicle within the boundaries of Audubon Park or in Brechtel Memorial Park where signs are erected giving notice thereof, or between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. nor shall any person stop or park a vehicle within the boundaries of City Park between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m., provided that this prohibition shall not apply to the west bank of Bayou St. John; provided that this provision shall not apply to authorized employees of the Audubon Park Commission, the city park improvement association or the parkway and park commission while acting in connection with the performance of their official duties, nor shall this apply to vehicles of the police or fire departments when on official duty. The parking restriction applicable between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. or of 11:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m., shall not apply during the hours when athletic events or other functions are being conducted as authorized by the Audubon Park Commission, the city park improvement association or the parkway and park commission.
