§ 154-816. Penalty for false or fraudulent bidding.

Any person, directly or through a third person, found guilty of furnishing false information
or submitting one or more bids on vehicles sold at public auction by the city who
does not have the funds to purchase such vehicle or made such bid for the purpose
of delaying or disrupting such sales, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and sentenced
to serve no more than 90 days in jail, or fined $100.00, or both; provided further
that each separate bid found to be false or fraudulent shall constitute a separate
offense.
