§ 154-692. Answering parking citation.

  • (a)

    A person to whom a parking citation has been issued under this article may answer to the same in the manner and within the delays indicated on the citation. An answer may take the form of:

    (1)

    Admission of the violation with payment of the scheduled civil penalty;

    (2)

    A written denial of liability and promise to appear at an adjudicatory hearing date; or

    (3)

    A written admission of liability with explanation and promise to appear at an adjudicatory hearing.

    (b)

    Payment of the civil penalty may be made by mailing to the agent designated by the city the parking citation accompanied by a payment of the fine provided therein. Such payment may be made only by money order or check made out to the city. Payment of the civil penalty established herein shall operate as a final disposition of the case.
