 Division 10. RESIDENTIAL PERMIT PARKING PROGRAM

  § 154-1138. Permit parking zones authorized.

  • The parking administrator is hereby authorized to restrict by order, subject to approval by the council, parking on public streets in a residential or special area, designated by the council as provided herein, to vehicles bearing a valid parking permit issued pursuant to this division. This authority shall be in addition to, and may be exercised in conjunction with, any other authority the parking administrator may have to regulate the times and conditions of parking. The following permit parking zones are designated:

    1 - Yellow Coliseum Square: St. Charles to River, Jackson to Mississippi River Bridge approach 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday None
    2 - Purple French Quarter: N. Rampart to River, Esplanade to Iberville 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Sunday
    3 - Blue Audubon Blvd from Willow to S. Claiborne, Broadway to State, Willow to S. Claiborne 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday through Friday Effective August through May
    4 - Red Upper Audubon: Broadway to Walnut, St. Charles to Leake 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday
    5 - Orange Louisiana to Jackson, St. Charles to Magazine 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday
    6 - Pink Newcomb Blvd/Maple Area: St Charles Ave to Willow, Uptown property lines of Tulane University to Carrollton 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday
    7 - Sunflower State, Palmer, Calhoun between St. Charles and Willow 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Friday Effective August through May
    8 - Silver Not Used
    9 - Gold Touro Bouligny: Louisiana to Napoleon, St Charles to Magazine 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday
    10 - Green Audubon Zoning: Exposition to Nashville, Arabella between St. Charles to Prytania 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday Effective August through May
    11 - Raspberry Marigny: 1400, 1700-2000 blocks of Burgundy, 1400, 1800-2000 blocks of Dauphine, 600, 900 & 1000 blocks of Kerlerec, 1000 block of St. Anthony, 1800 & 1900 N. Rampart (riverside), 1400 Bourbon, 1400 Pauger, 1400, 2000, & 2100 Chartres, 1900 & 2000 Royal 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Sunday
    12 - White Faubourg St. John: Ursuline, DeSaix, Broad, N. Carrollton, Wisner 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Sunday
    13 - Light Green Elmwood: DeGaulle to Donner, Anson to Florence 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday & Sunday only
    14 - Dark Blue Riverbend area: 8100 Zimple, 8100 & 8200 Freret, 8100 & 8200 Burthe, 8100 & 8200 Maple, 800, 900, & 1000 S. Carrollton, 600, 800, 900, 1000 Dublin, 800 & 900 Dante 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday
    15 - Brown Upper St. Charles: Carrollton (downtown), Leake (River & Lake), St. Charles (River) up to but not including Cherokee 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday
    16 - Peach 2700 & 2800 Joseph (odd side), 5400 & 5500 Story, 5500 Cucullu, 2900 Octavia (even side) 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday August 15th through May 31st
