§ 14-230. Penalty for delinquency.

  • When any license fee payor under this division fails to pay the license fee or any portion thereof on or before the date prescribed for its payment, interest at the rate of 1¼ percent per month shall be added to the amount of the fee due from the due date until paid. In addition to the interest that may be so due, there shall also be collected a penalty of five percent of the fee if the failure to pay is not more than 30 days, with an additional five percent for each 30 days or fraction thereof during which the failure to pay continues. In the event a suit is filed to collect the fees, interest and/or penalties due, there shall also be collected attorney's fees at the rate of 25 percent on the total amount of fees, interest and penalties due.
