§ 146-585. Mandatory safety and identifying markings and permits to appear on all trash containers, dumpsters, etc., placed in the public right-of-way.

  • All trash containers, receptacles, other similar containers, or dumpsters, hereafter referred to as dumpsters for purposes of this section, that are placed in the public right-of-way shall bear the name, address, and phone number of the owner or party assuming liability for said dumpster and this identification shall be permanently affixed to each side of the dumpster, shall appear in legible characters that are of a color directly contrasting that of the dumpster, and be of a height not less than two inches. Any permit issued pursuant to section 146-584 shall also be clearly displayed. Dumpsters shall also bear no less than two "Type 2" safety markers, permanently affixed, upon each upper corner at each end. For purposes of this section, "Type 2" markers are those consisting of either three yellow reflectors, each with a minimum dimension of approximately three inches, that are arranged either vertically or horizontally, or an all-yellow reflective panel with dimensions no less than six inches by 12 inches.
