§ 146-242. Contents, effect of notice.
Upon determining an appropriate survey zone, the enforcement agency shall affix to each abandoned, litterprone and/or illegally fixed newsbox or newsstand found therein a notice declaring that the newsbox or newsstand has been found to be in violation of this article and must be removed by the owner, lessee or operator within seven calendar days of the date the notice is affixed in default of which the newsbox or newsstand will be removed and impounded by the enforcement agency and disposed of in the manner provided for the disposition of signs in section 134-122(b). The notice shall state that the owner, lessee or operator may request a hearing on whether or not the newsbox or newsstand is in violation and should be removed and impounded by filing a written request in the principal office of the enforcement agency not later than 4:00 p.m. on the fourth day following affixment of the notice.
