§ 130-52. Permit required.

  • Any person engaging in business as a secondhand motor vehicle body parts dealer shall annually apply to the director of the department of finance for a permit on a form provided by the department. The application shall include the complete name and address of the place of business; the name, address, social security number and birth date of the owners, proprietors, partners or principal incorporators owning ten percent or more of the business, and a sworn statement with fingerprints as required by the department of police showing that the applicant or any of the parties listed on the application has not been convicted of either a felony under the laws of the United States or any state or of a local misdemeanor that is related to the applicant's business within the previous five years. The department of police shall provide to the director of the department of finance all available information regarding any charges or arrests it may possess regarding the applicant. The findings of any such charge, arrest or conviction, or the filing of false or incomplete information shall be sufficient cause for the denial of this permit. This permit shall be valid for one calendar year. Upon approval of the application by the department of finance and payment of the permit fee as provided by section 30-1281 et seq., a permit shall be issued to the applicant. The director of the department of finance shall immediately revoke the permit for any false, incomplete or inaccurate information provided the city. The applicant may not apply or reapply for a permit for at least one year from said revocation.
