§ 122-11. Concessions for handicapped passengers.

Passengers on any wheelchair lift-equipped public transit vehicle shall, when requested by the driver of that public transit vehicle, relinquish their seats above the vehicle's wheelchair lock mechanism to enable the driver to secure a handicapped passenger's wheelchair to the floor of the vehicle. Passenger aids on special elderly and handicapped transit service vehicles shall relinquish their seats to accommodate elderly or handicapped passengers, at the request of the driver of the transit vehicle. Any violation of this section shall constitute a misdemeanor.
