§ 122-10. Consumption of food and beverages on public transit vehicles prohibited.

  • Consumption of foodstuffs or beverages on any public transit vehicle, other than chartered transit service, is prohibited. It is unlawful for any driver of a public transit vehicle to permit such an offense. No metal or glass containers of any type, for the purpose of transporting, containing, or serving foodstuffs and/or beverages, shall be allowed on chartered transit vehicles. Nothing in this section shall be construed as to prevent a driver of any transit vehicle from consuming foodstuffs and/or beverages, while the transit vehicle is parked at the end of the transit line, and not in motion.
