§ 10-186. Closure of bars under certain circumstances.

  • The mayor or the council may, on election days, in the case of riots, fights and disturbances of any kind; and whenever in the judgment of the mayor or the council it becomes necessary for the maintenance of peace and the preservation of public order, close barrooms or drinking houses. The refusal or neglect of any person to close any barroom or drinking house shall constitute a violation of this chapter and be a misdemeanor.
