§ 10-4. Enforcement.
(a)
This chapter shall not give the police power of the department of police to the departments of finance or safety and permits, but on the contrary, the enforcement of this chapter is hereby vested in the department of police and it shall be the duty and authority of the department of police to enforce the provisions of this chapter.
(b)
The departments of finance, safety and permits, and law, as provided herein, shall have administrative enforcement jurisdiction over provisions of this chapter and may bring enforcement action under the provisions of this chapter before the alcoholic beverage control board or may seek administrative relief through the provisions of chapter 6 of this Code.
